Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how TwozyGames ("we", "our", "the Site") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit twozygames.com. We value your privacy and aim to be transparent about our data practices. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

The Site does not require registration and does not directly collect personally identifying information such as your name, email address, or phone number. We do automatically collect technical information during normal use:

  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, screen resolution, referring URL.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, time spent, search queries entered, games clicked, feature interactions.
  • Cookies and local storage: Small data files stored in your browser to enable functionality (see Section 5).
  • Advertising identifiers: When ads are served, Google AdSense may receive cookies and device identifiers (see Section 6).

2. How We Use Information

  • Operating and maintaining the Site.
  • Analyzing usage patterns (via Google Analytics) to improve content and performance.
  • Serving relevant advertising (via Google AdSense) to support free access to games.
  • Diagnosing errors and preventing abuse.
  • Saving your preferences (recently played games, favorites) in your browser's local storage.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Legitimate interest: For analytics, site operation, security, and fraud prevention.
  • Consent: For non-essential cookies and personalized advertising, where applicable cookie consent is required.

4. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding personal data:

Under GDPR (EEA/UK):

  • Right of access — request a copy of data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — correct inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion of data.
  • Right to restriction of processing.
  • Right to data portability.
  • Right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time for processing based on consent.
  • Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g. your national data protection regulator).

Under CCPA/CPRA (California residents):

  • Right to know what personal information is collected.
  • Right to delete personal information.
  • Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell personal information; however, behavioral advertising cookies may be considered "sharing" under CPRA — see Section 6 for opt-out).
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the Contact page. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (typically 30 days under GDPR, 45 days under CCPA).

5. Cookies and Local Storage

We use the following categories of cookies and local storage:

  • Strictly necessary: Required for the Site to function. Cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the Site (see Google Privacy Policy).
  • Advertising: Google AdSense cookies enable personalized advertising.
  • Local storage (functional): We store favorite games and recently played game history locally in your browser. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings or use browser privacy tools. Disabling cookies may limit some Site features. To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

6. Third-Party Services and Advertising

The Site integrates the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics (GA4): Measures Site usage. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google AdSense: Serves advertisements. Google may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this Site and other sites. Learn more at How Google Uses Cookies in Advertising and opt out at YourOnlineChoices (EU) or AdChoices (US).
  • GameDistribution: The games themselves are hosted on GameDistribution's platform. When you play a game, you are redirected to their servers and their privacy policy applies.
  • Naver site verification: A static meta tag is included in our page head to confirm domain ownership for Naver Webmaster Tools (Korean search indexing). This is metadata only — no cookies, no tracking, and your browser does not contact Naver as a result of viewing our pages.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. However, under California law, use of advertising cookies may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents can limit this by using browser-level privacy tools (e.g. Global Privacy Control) or the AdChoices opt-out linked above.

7. Data Retention

We retain technical logs and analytics data for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in Section 2, typically up to 26 months. Advertising cookies are retained per Google's policies. Local storage data (favorites, recently played) persists until you clear your browser data.

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

TwozyGames is intended for general audiences. We comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the GDPR's stricter standard for users under 16 in the European Economic Area. In particular:

  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). No account, sign-up, email, or personal data is required to play any game on the Site.
  • We do not serve personalized or interest-based advertising on pages directed at children. Where AdSense is shown, we instruct Google to limit ads to non-personalized contextual ads on child-directed pages (such as our "Best Games for Kids" guide and adjacent surfaces).
  • We do not sell or share data of users under 13 (or 16 in the EEA) under any circumstances. This applies even where applicable law would otherwise permit "sharing" of advertising cookies.
  • Game iframes are embedded from GameDistribution (see Section 6 for the linked privacy policy). We do not control what data the upstream platform collects inside their iframe, which is why we recommend a parent or guardian play together the first time with a younger user.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please use our Contact page and we will promptly delete the relevant records.

9. International Data Transfers

Our third-party service providers (Google, GameDistribution) may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. These providers implement appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to protect transferred data under GDPR.

10. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including HTTPS encryption, restricted server access, and regular security updates. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Contact

For privacy questions, requests to exercise your rights, or complaints, please use our Contact page. We aim to respond to all inquiries within the timeframes required by applicable law.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through a Site notice. Continued use of the Site after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
